Media Release: SANParks hosts Email Free Hours/Day

South African National Parks (SANParks) head office in Groenkloof hosted the SANParks E-mail free hours/day today (Monday 6 August 2012). The project was initiated two years ago and all SANParks regions and parks were encouraged to participate. Kruger National Park and Garden Route National Park have hosted this event once a quarter since 2010. 

Email-free hours/ day is a good way to get SANParks leadership out of the office to meet different teams/ visitors and spend a day/hours doing a frontline job such as; Call Centre, Reservation, welcoming and checking in guests, cleaning facilities, ranger responsibilities, etc. 

This initiative emphasizes and supports SANParks CEO, Dr David Mabunda’s vision “Making a difference, paying attention to detail and SANParks’ New Vision  ‘South African National Parks Connecting to Society’. This will provide management with the opportunity to interact with staff and customers and lead by example to their colleagues.”
